“Aquino acting as Malaysian gov’t spokesman, a traitor”
Youth group condemns Aquino for supporting massacre of Filipinos in Sabah; calls for halt to all-out attack
Youth group Anakbayan today joined the march to Mendiola in Manila and condemned President Benigno Aquino III for “treason.”
“Aquino has clearly committed treason when he did nothing as Malaysian forces attacked the Filipinos in Sabah,” said Vencer Crisostomo national chairperson of Anakbayan.
He said Aquino seems to be taking his cue from the Malaysian government and has, from the beginning, failed to take a “sane, patriotic stand” regarding the Sabah claim.
“He essentially gave the green light to the Malaysian government to proceed and massacre the Filipinos in Sabah. This is unforgivable, blood is on his hands,” he said.
Crisostomo said Aquino must call strongly on the Malaysian government and the international community to stop the massacre of Filipinos instead of coming up with “conspiracy theories.”
“Instead of made up stories of ‘conspiracy,’ he should immediately call for the halting of the all-out attack on Filipinos. The real conspiracy here is between Aquino and the Malaysian government, conniving to dispossess the Philippines and the Sultanate of the rightful claim to Sabah,” he said.
He said the Sultanate and the Philippines has a rightful claim to Sabah which Aquino has continually ignored and which Aquino does not recognize.
Crisostomo called Aquino “a puppet and traitor.”
“In the case of Tubbataha and US intervention, he parrots the script of the US. He sides with Malaysia re Sabah and endorses a massacre of our fellow Filipinos. He is a traitor and a foreign puppet,” said Crisostomo.
Candle lighting activities will be held in campuses today to call for a stop to the all-out attack on Filipinos in Sabah. Anakbayan likewise called on the international community to call on the Malaysian government to stop the attacks.
“The government should opt for dialogue and diplomacy. Aquino should stop endorsing the attacks and stand for the interest of our people. Lives are at stake,” he said.
